NewsletterThe ECVP Education Committee, with the support from the Marie Curie Actions grant (ECVP & ESVP collaboration), has built up a Histology Slide Collection of material from the ECVP/ESVP Summer Schools. Many of these slides have now been scanned, and the digitised versions are available via the link indicated below. NewsletterA councillor position on the board of the ESVP will be available from the AGM at the Lyon meeting in September 2017. Interested members are invited to send their CV, along with the names of a proposer and seconder, to be sent to the Secretary by February 28th 2017. The new councillor will have responsibility for maintenance of the ESVP website homepage and the list of sponsors for ESVP meetings. Younger members of the Society are particularly encouraged to join the Board.

NewsletterUpdate June 20, 2016: The deadline for submitting manuscripts has been extended Veterinary Pathology will publish a special issue on the topic of “Pathology and Pathogenesis of Immune-Mediated Diseases of Animals / Diseases of the Immune System. We are soliciting submissions of primary research papers and reviews. Authors are advised to send a short summary or prospectus to the guest-editor, Dr. Verena Affolter (vkaffolter@ucdavis.edu) before preparing a review paper or submitting a manuscript. Deadline for summary submissions: June 15, 2016; extended to July 15, 2016 updated Deadline for submission of full manuscript: August 15, 2016; extended to August 30, 2016 updated Veterinary Pathology (http://vet.sagepub.com) is the journal of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, the European College of Veterinary Pathologists, and the Japanese College of Veterinary Pathologists. Research papers and reviews for the special issue should fulfill the following requirements: The submitted manuscript should have a focus on naturally occurring immune-mediated diseases in animals or address laboratory animal models of immune-mediated diseases. The manuscript should address disease mechanisms (pathogenesis and pathophysiology), pathologic findings and if possible clinic-pathologic correlations. The research should be of significance to animal and/or human health. The manuscript should be of sufficiently broad interest and of substantial value to veterinary pathologists. Documentation of in vitro experiments or genetic analyses are suitable if they reveal aspects of pathogenesis and offer advanced knowledge in understanding of diseases mechanisms, pathologic diagnosis, or clinical relevance of pathologic diagnosis. MeetingsDear Friends and Colleagues, We invite our pathology colleagues to submit abstracts for presentation and / or to simply join us as we are enlightened by Prof Peter Moore and the interactive discussion sessions at the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD) annual meeting, in Bordeaux. France, which will be held on May 31st 2016! The ISVD annual meeting precedes the 8th World Congress of veterinary Dermatology where the ISVD will also be hosting wet-labs. Free Communications are oral presentations of approximately 12 minutes length. Abstracts will be included for publication in the Congress abstract supplement of the Journal Veterinary Dermatology; a manuscript is not required. The ISVD abstract submission deadline is January 15th, midnight central European time, 2016 I look forward to welcoming you to Bordeaux in 2016.
