NewsThe Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, together with the Davis–Thompson Foundation, will organize the 3rd Annual Davis-Thompson Foundation Eastern European Veterinary Pathology Meeting. The meeting will take place from 25th to 27th May 2022 at hotel Sileks in the ancient and picturesque city of Ohrid, a UNESCO Natural and Cultural Heritage site in the Republic of North Macedonia. Lectures will be given by Dr. Monika Welle (Institute for Animal Pathology, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, Switzerland), Dr. Francisco Uzal (California Animal Health and Food Safety Lab – San Bernardino, CA, USA) and Dr. Trpe Ristoski (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Skopje). Next to the diverse pathology lectures the registration fee also includes a boat trip on Lake Ohrid, followed by a formal dinner for all the participants. NewsThe ECVP/ESVP Education Committee is organising the Summer School 2021 which will take place in Zagreb, Croatia, from Monday 12th July to Friday 23rd July 2021. The coronavirus pandemic makes planning particularly challenging and as not everyone will be able to travel, we have decided to organise a hybrid meeting. Most lectures will take place as online sessions (see further information). However, the mock exam in the second week will be offered to attendants on site only. NewsDear ESVP members, The invitation to join the Ophthalmology case rounds with the clinicians and pathologists at Hannover last month was very well received and about 60 members joined the webinar. Therefore the board of the ESVP are delighted to be able to announce that the pathologists from IDEXX have agreed to allow ESVP members to join their case discussions too. We are very grateful to Jenny Mckay (head of pathology at IDEXX UK) and Elena Riccardi, ESVP board member who works at IDEXX for setting this up.
