MeetingsThe ESTP is pleased to invite you to attend the seminar Classic Examples in Toxicologic Pathology XXXI, held at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany, on March 14 and 15, 2024. The registration fee is EUR 150 for ESTP members, EUR 200 for non- members and EUR 50 for students. Beverages and snacks during the meeting and the get-together on Thursday evening are included. The registration period will end on February 23, 2024. Please register via the ESTP homepage as soon as possible. Meetings5th Cutting Edge Pathology Congress will be held in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the mountainous northern satellite town close to Madrid at the Real Centro Universitario Maria Cristina from 28th to 31st August 2024. The venue of the congress is part of the historic monastery declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and location of the summer courses of the University Complutense of Madrid. Tucked into the mountainous surrounding, San Lorenzo de El Escorial o ers not only the impressive monastery closely linked to the Spanish crown, but also quaint little boutiques and a collection of vibrant Spanish tapas bars and elegant restaurants. However, this shall not distract from this event intended to provide a forum for colleagues working in toxicologic and veterinary pathology not only from Europe but from all over the world coming together to exchange their expertise, current challenges and future visions on all aspects of Cutting Edge Pathology.

NewsThe Department of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Turin (UNITO) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in anatomic veterinary pathology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join an established and collegial pathology team comprising seven anatomic pathologists, two biologists, and a group of young fellows. The VAPDL is equipped with excellent research support facilities, including a histological lab, an automatic immunostainer, a digital PCR machine, and other instruments for cellular and biological research purposes. Requirements for this position include a DVM degree, appropriate training in veterinary pathology, and achievement of (or eligibility for) certification by the European or American College of Veterinary Pathologists. A PhD degree and a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed publications are also required. Salary will be commensurate with experience. While knowledge of the Italian language is not initially required, as this position is renewable annually, we recommend at least an elementary knowledge of Italian as a minimum.Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate has been identified.The city of Turin offers numerous opportunities for cultural, sporting, entertainment, and recreational activities.
